Lynn is the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Fairfield University where she had been dean and professor for the School of Nursing for 2 years. Responsibilities include chief academic officer for the University, Dean of faculty and student support service. Prior to Fairfield, Lynn was the assistant dean for graduate programs at Northeastern University in Boston where she led the development of the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and served as its first director. She also chaired the Nursing PhD committee as the University launched that program. Prior to joining the School of Nursing at Northeastern University, Lynn developed a non-profit business partnership and strategic alliance between two community health centers in Boston. She has spent much of her career in the service setting in various roles including hospital administrator, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer. Since 2000, she has been president of an international volunteer organization, Intercultural Nursing, Inc., providing health care and cultural experiences in the rural areas of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. In 2011, Lynn was a Fulbright scholar in Israel, assisting in the development of the first doctoral program in nursing in the country. She earned her bachelors in nursing from the University of Michigan and a master's and PhD from the University of Washington.  Lynn's areas of expertise are in building partnerships, interdisciplinary teams, curricular design, health care systems - finance, business and marketing and working with vulnerable populations. She has been a member and officer of the CCNE Board of Commissioners, co-chair of the Accreditation Review Committee, member of the Residency Task Force, member of the AACN Master's Essentials Task Force and various other committees.
